Excellent minis and great work on the faithful paint job. I could easily imagine this printed in White Dwarf! This is the aesthetic that got me into mini wargaming. Age of Sigmar and 40k don't cut it.

Amazing paintjob, must've been difficult to deal with so many details at such small scale, but the end result is great and even the eyes of the dwarves look really good, it's not easy to get them right. I also love how you painted these red gems, such a simple method but it looks sick.

Oh yeah, i also forget if you do this but i like to use bronze as a base coat for gold

I forget if you've done this yet or not, but i find that you can mix silver and gold paint to make a good highlight, in case you wanted another step in between gold and silver. I was also going to experiment with mixing white and silver for another highlight on silver metal bits. If that is successful i was thinking about mixing metalics with some other pigments for shades and highlights.

Awesome video, lucky enough to have a whole blue box collection of dwarves, my favourite is Busman's Brewers (that eye patch champion is probably my favourite fig of WHFB) - You can't beat a hefty weighty metal Anvil of Doom. Throgrim Grudgebearer would never have sanctioned plastic/finecast witchcraft.

Don't worry about taking a break when needed! Staying fresh and enjoying this is way more important than hitting some schedule, you need to look after yourself. You know I'm a High Elf guy as well, but I have to say I don't think that's ever been for 'personality'. I think they look extremely cool and I love them, but if anything they're a bit sterile. In a way almost anything is more interesting than a pure bred, near immortal high elf. Breakaway evil elves? Check. Breakaway tree-hippy elves? Check. Flawed, messy humans? Check. Sneaky ratmen? Check. Short grumpy dwarves? Hell yeah! However it's the orcs that have the most personality in fantasy for me. Or more specifically the goblins.

Congrats you got one! :D nah, I agree, very satisfying washing stuff! I am a shit painter so do basecoats, then wash - and it actually looks acceptable then! So i can do some lazy highlights too and it is playable.. But that stage from flat, boring, nasty base paints to the wash feels good..

@@anvilofdoomminiatures It does.. I paint that simple way.. Almost like dipping.. But a little more after that washing step.. It goes from a flat, boring ugly stage to some almost good-looking stuff.. ;) Ai am not as good as you.. ;)
