Mike, I'm glad that my workday starts early, for a couple reasons. I'm a tech at an electronics manufacturer. Loved the artwork but also the dedication. I don't think that Max makes a dime off his channel and it disappoints me when ppl leave negative comments about content they are getting for free. Take care...

Thanks Mr. Machat for another enjoyable and informative video. Appreciate all the pictures of the Air Canada/TCA aircraft. I flew on the airline when the still had planes with the TCA logo. Nice dedication to the owner of the best modelling channel on youtube.

Dear Mike, thx for dedicating this video to me as a newly certified A320 CPT with an european LCC. Also have the 737 on my licence. Two great aircrafts doing the same job in different styles. Thanks to you for this great channel.

Dear Mike, congratulations on your distinguished career and on all the wonderful works you've done. Today, I particularly would like to thank you for the wonderful surprise of seeing R.G. Smith's painting of a DC-9-50 flying in the colors of Venezuelan airline Aeropostal, whose DC-9s I flew on many times in my youth. I don't know if you are aware that this company, which operates today as a charter operator with only two planes, was founded in 1929 by the owners of the original Compagnie générale Aéropostale, of Latécoère and Saint-Exupéry fame, and has carried that distinguished name ever since its creation nearly a century ago. Given the ups and downs in both, aviation and Venezuela's political and economic reality, I'm amazed that the name still takes to the sky on a relatively regular basis. Thanks again, Mike, for all you do.

Very Cool, prior to this video I knew virtually nothing about AirBus and their planes, now I have a video history and product directory available to consult at any time. And a special Glu-Trooper shout out for the double tribute to our intrepid leader Captain Max. (The lead in 4th extra photo of an A320 model being photoed, AND later the new captain dedication.) Nicely Done Mike!

I am in love with the united battleship colours. ❤
@FloorItDuh10 ай бұрын
It's my favorite United livery of all time. I wish they would have stuck with it. While the Continental livery is nice there's something about seeing it have united written on the side that just doesn't sit right. Maybe it's because I attached that livery so much to Continentals brand identity so when I see it I don't think united. Also the battleship livery just seemed to me at least bold and futuristic. It really stood out and still does in my opinion. I just find mostly white simple livery's boring. Delta has the most boring one followed by spirit, and Alaska. I also wish Southwest stuck with the desert gold theme I liked that one over the modern one.
@bobjove651110 ай бұрын
@@FloorItDuh agree 👍💯 the white themes for airlines these days are not interesting at all. Did u ever see united shuttle 737s back In the day? I love the shuttle logos they had flew on a few as well.

You answered my question at the very end. And that was, "Do illustrators still work with the traditional mediums, or is that a bygone era?" When I was in High School I had aspirations of being an architect or draftsman. At the time we were still using T-squares, triangles, and lead holders. CAD was just coming into being. I had a real disdain for computers then and just couldn't make the transition, so I never realized my ambition. Peace and love.

Like the Sully paint scheme better than the dark one. Originally from near Pittsburgh, I saw plenty of the dark ones until we moved to Portland, Oregon were they are nonexistent. However, in Portland we have many international airlines including Lufthansa. There is also a National Air Guard base there so we see F-15s almost every day. Sometimes they practice speed zooms and they are loud.

Once again a fascinating video. Digital artwork maybe the thing now days but I still think paintings are superior. Wish I had your skill. Thanks again Mike and look forward to your next installment 👍 Oh and as for U.S Airways colours (UK spelling) I,ll go with the delivery scheme please.

Incredible, great work as always Mike. I like all of the Airbus paintings you did for that company. My favorites would have to be the Air Canada A340 over Japan, and the USAirways A319 over Washington National. And, I like the original color scheme better than the later "Sully" scheme. Wishing you good future fortune cookie messages!

The US Airways delivery scheme is still beautiful. The later one looked old when was first applied in my opinion.
@viksaini10 ай бұрын
The last US Airways color scheme was best. I think it was introduced around 2005 when the airline merged with America West Airlines.

Interesting fact about the A340 city to city range anywhere in the world! Aircraft trivia I'll win with one day. I like the darker US Airways livery the best, and speaking of...maybe someday you can do something on legacy airlines that made up the current fleets, such as Piedmont from right here in NC. Thanks for good videos.

Dear Mike, Did your dedication have anything to do with a certain modelling enthusiast? Frank.

Why is this video dedicated to all newly A320 qualified captains? Edit. I like the newer US Airways look better than the previous one. Less busy on the eyes and I have a soft spot for wavy lines. Quite a few airlines adoptrd a wavy paint scheme the past decade.

Dear Mike, Thanks for the wonderful presentation. In that Niagara falls painting with Air Canada A319, what is the white glare in the middle? It just seems unnatural and I am a bit confused.
