One of my favourite parts about painting GSC is that half of the faction is closer to human and half is closer to Tyranid, and my GSC are made to look like they're descended from genestealers from my Tyranid hive fleet (green skin, yellow carapace, purple melee, magenta ranged weapons). The more human side of the army does have some of that green skin, but it's more of a green tint over human skin. My aberrants though (and the rest of my Tyranid-ish half) are just the Tyranid colours

i love the genestealers they're like 40ks skaven for me even though I think full tyranids work more like the skaven but either way I'm just happy I was able to get one of the big combat patrol boxes for them

Those look awesome! I am really happy to see you refreshing these guys and giving them some love. One thing that I would do for them is to hit those tongues with a pop of a different color. They look to much like the flesh tone and it reads as unfinished. Maybe look at animal tongues for inspiration? Giraffes, Chow Chows, Skinks, all kinds of animals with weird tongues. It would really Add more pop to the faces.

Really enjoying seeing you finally tackle more of your other armies this year. Thats been the same focus for me as well as I spent the last 2 years on my Necrons which in my defense also included their new Killteam, their old compendium killteam, and also the boarding patrol box when I got into those game systems. This year iv been dabbling in my other armies including the Votann, my custom Salamander army, with a slight sprinkle of Sylvaneth as I am preparing for their 4th edition battletome. All 3 have largely just been focused on paint schemes and building up a few models. My plan for all three is to start with skirmish games with Killteam and Warcry while still giving my Necrons some love here and there this year. Speaking of , I hope to finally see some more Necrons on this channel. They deserve some more spotlight and cant wait to see how you managed to paint the newer units in the range

Dogs sweat, but they sweat a bit differently than humans. Dogs have two types of sweat glands: merocrine glands, which are similar to human sweat glands, and apocrine glands. Merocrine glands are located in dogs' paw pads. Sweating through their paws helps dogs cool down.

I remember playing a leagie in 9th edition when the Jeans Stealers got their Codex and the Aborrants were a nightmare to play against. They would kill a Warlord Knight in 1 turn.

I like the scheme, you could imagine them with mostly human skin tones as they are using that DNA. Ooo... a beastmen / genestealer cult! Reminds me of the old 90's Alien toys.

Aberrants are actually pretty good in 10th edition because despite their survivability they get the cult ambush keyword. So no matter what, when destroyed, they return on at least a 5+.

My deepest darkest desire is to see your beautiful armies and terrain on the tabletop, have you ever considered doing a cinematic style battle report? Nothing detailed, I know there are vast differences between filming painting tutorials and battle reports, I’m not too interested in how the dice rolling goes I just want some nice cinematic shots of these dudes charging down a leman russ!! 30 models would be rough to play, but it would make for a great narrative game. It’s too early for the day of ascension, but the cult was found anyway and needs to act to keep itself alive.

These look really really cool! I’m taking tentative steps back into 40K after time (25 years) away. I always loved the original space hulk Genestealers, which I still have from way back when, so I’m going cult! Apologies if this is a dumb question but is patreon the only way to get the cool cult vehicles at the end of vid or can you buy them direct? I live in the UK so it might not be viable but any thoughts gratefully received! Long love the Cult!

Here's a question. Why didn't I know that the Purestrain Genestealers kit came with alternate heads that look badass? I would have picked up GSC so much sooner if I knew I didn't need to use the weird psudo-gaunt head that's used on the box art. My favorite Tyranids tend to be the ones that are more unusual and impersonal looking. Things like Venomthropes, Nuerolictors, Biovores, and Neurotyrants. Many tyranids just look like a tamer version of a Xenomorph, and for those that like them, I respect it. I just think the stuff with crazy body plans are cool. Give me Cthulhu-nids!
