Wow what is DIY birdhouse turn the absolute beautiful and the color combination for each and every one of them are gorgeous as some washing the last one I remember when you posted it Instagram and the color is beautiful Thank you my sweet friend for sharing all your little birdhouse. And yes can you use chalk paint and you put them outside with the rain they will get ruined because the water always going to get through the protective coating but with acrylic paint is different 😍💯💯👍💞

The birds in my garden didn't occupy the brightly colored bird houses. The ones that were dark tones w/ moss roofs they occupied. My guess is they didn't want to attract intruders , if the colors were low key , let's say, browns & greens, like you would find in nature, they moved in. If they were bright reds, yellows lilacs, orange, they wouldn't. So I painted all of mine in natural colors, even glued real stones on them to keep them from getting weather beaten. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Anna, you are a special person, creating houses for your birdies to live in. 🐦🐤 You are smart to have noticed the difference in bird behavior. PMy colorful birdhouses are used either indoors or outside for garden decorations. I do have some very plain birdhouses for my birds too. Don’t you love hearing the babies peeping after they hatch?
