Sweet little bird. We have lots of them in the mountains too. They get their beaks stuck in the screen on the porch sometimes. They are trying to get to the red geraniums on the porch table. Thank goodness they are able to get loose! Great painting. 💖💖

Yes they are. You need to prep the glass with Heritage MultiSurface Sealer. That gives a tooth. Then you can decorate.

I adore your artwork, and you are so easy to listen to and learn from, all the way through. I’ve only discovered you in this past week and I’m hooked, love your style, I’ve watched about ten start to end. Two of your paintings tonight made me cry, I became emotional with their beauty, the peachy, pinky roses with the hummingbird, and you had a circular painting with pink roses and blue flowers on your wall behind you whilst painting the clear glass vase. Have you ever had any of your art made into fabric? I would love to have your designs / style / blended muted colour palette as a floaty long maxi skirt or a gorgeous summer dress, or longline shirt/blouse. Hi Jane, Yes I have. Mostly now, I have slowed down and just painting and do a little teaching. I love painting and teaching online and once a year in our Sidney Nebraska gallery. This industry has been amazing for my family, now it is time to teach the next generations and have them find the same success. That is our goal now. 😃

Awesome! Thank you Tera. Can I offer a word of advice? Stop using the word "project". Projects don't teach. "Lessons" do. I stopped using that word about 15 years ago. You're an artist, you paint lessons to increase your abilities. You don't paint projects. 😊

@@JansenArtEducation great advice! I guess I used that phrasing because I do have house hold projects on my mind. I usually say it's the next painting I'm going to give a go at😊. I painted with you (every step of the way) the blue bunting and I was pretty happy with the outcome. So, I was watching this video for the fourth time and I feel ready to sketch it out and give it my best. It's funny, everyone thought the bird was good but they loved my lilacs...I think it had a lot to do with your more modern background and the harmony of all the colors you taught me to use. Thanks again for the advice. I always want to support you where ever I can by commenting. But, I have severe daily migraines and I can't always get my brain to cooperate to write what I want.

Just beautiful. Last year I had the privilage of holding a ruby throated hummingbird. It was a privilage that he let me hold him. The red on his throat was so vivid in the sunlight. I could see each little feather.

Another great work.First of all a big thanks for your fully tutorial painting. I didn’t painted a bird before,but after watching your videos I really love to paint one of your hummingbird. I am just a beginner but I will try my best. I love this painting so much.The last highlights gives really realistic look to the painting.The last touch of the eye with white makes the bird live. Sir you are using your finger to blend,but I can’t.so which brush will help me. Can I use oil colour instead of acrylic.Waiting for another wonderful work Sir. Thank you Roseline! 😃 Oil doesn't work with a lot of my techniques. If you use oil, don't use your finger and use a brush. You will have to change a lot of what I do if you use oils. If your are beginner, that might be frustrating. There are lots of beautiful oil painters on KZbin and it would be better for you to learn from them if you use oils. Thank you! 😃

My favorite part was when you said “let’s pinkify this” referring to the color for the flowers. 😂 made me smile because I am all for pinkifying things! Beautiful painting. I hope you will paint the male Goldfinch in full color and a Robin. Robins are a lovely sign of spring. Thanks!
