Hi David! I've watched you paint these roses several times -- and just now watched it again! Love this one! I was able to catch the tail end of the Summer Stock Up Sale and added Peregrine Orange, Quinacridone Gold, Glazing Medium, Canvas Prep Medium, and a nice long-handle #8 Fusion Flat brush to my collection of Jansen Art supplies. This board is 1/4 baltic birch ply. I like the ply as it doesn't warp. I also use MDF and Hardboard.

Yes, 1/4 inch thick. I never use paper except with a watercolor technique. Doesn't work with these techniques I show.

Alot has to do with the paint and brushes. All acrylics are different so if your using a different type you will probably have to change the techniques. It all requires practice as well. Try the 30 days of roses playlist, I show lots of different techniques in there.
