Sam imparts so much knowledge in his tutorials. I have learned more from him than an in-person class I took. I finally depended on following Sam’s tutorials and improved noticeably.

Brilliant video Samuel as always, I'm amazed how you're calmly achieving great colour depth and detail whilst holding your brush on the end. This however doesn't stop you getting incredible results, thanks greatly for inspiring others to create good result appreciating your videos stay safe and healthy

Thanks Philip, yeah I find it easier to hold my brush nearer the top of the handle and I have found I get some great marks painting this way 😊

Great tutorial Sam. Always a bit timid when it comes to painting animals etc. I like the way you made it look so easy.(maybe something to do with your skill level ).😀 I paint acrylics but I like your style, thanks for another learning experience. 😎🇦🇺🦘

Thanks Dave, I’ll be honest I am the same with animals but decided to just drive right in. Sketching really helps to get a better understanding of the form and anatomy of animals. The rest is seeing the colours and values in the animals 😊

A wonderful episode as usual Sam. Good job. I am yet to develop my skill in painting animals so I think this lesson should give me the courage to start. Hey how is the Covid situation on your side bro? back here in Trinidad were on a semi state of emergency but things are simmering down a bit. keep well Sam.

What size brush are you using and what is it made of. Bristle, etc or synthetic?
@SamuelEarpArtist2 жыл бұрын
Hi Maggie, I mainly use bristle flat brushes and I often use No.5, No.3 and No.2 flats. I sometimes use synthetic brushes for finer details. I can recommend Rosemary and Co. brushes: www.rosemaryandco.com?u=6c9179

I looked it up on Google. Cows have hair, not fur.
