Beautiful landscape! Love the color harmony. I learn from each of your instructional videos. Your combining of step by step visual demonstration with verbal explanation from start to finish is excellent. In a future landscape lesson, would you consider including how to paint a wash / dry river bed bank? I’m having difficulty getting winding banks down into a wash / dry river bed and the angle of the high side of the banks in a foreground to look right.

I sure would Sharon. May have to remind me a couple times but that sounds fun!!

Well, you did it again, Dave. You've given me something to paint again. Darn it! Wondering if you've ever painted any of the POI out by you like Chimney Rock, Courthouse Rock and ... can't remember the other one. But just wondered if those are subjects you have ever painted?? And I hope you don't get blue paint on your nose again. Good to know I'm not the only one who gets paint on my face. (:

I have painted some of the bluffs around here. Have some great morning photos of Courthouse so I should do those as well. Thanks so much 😊

Beautiful painting! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise!! I am so looking forward to trying to paint this one and I just received my order for the fusion brushes. Of course, mine are new so we’ll see. If it took you two hours, it may take me a week but that’s ok. If you use the open medium and the extender at the same time, how long does it take it to dry??
@sheilat74973 жыл бұрын
again, genius. your paints look and apply like oils, what's the secret? and open medium or extender? thank you for any suggestions.
@JansenArtEducation3 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome. Not all acrylics are the same. Some like heritage contain new advancements that allow them to work more like oils with the mediums. Artists have to understand that not all acrylics are the same 😃 Todays acrylics are much different from those made 20 or 30 years ago.
@matthewbunker10073 жыл бұрын
Sheila T, what David is saying is so true. All I use is Heritage acrylics and mediums as well as Fusion brushes. Almost everyone who views my paintings are amazed when they ask if I’m using oils. They are, by far, the best acrylics I’ve ever used and I’ve used many types. I love them!
