As a young woman I cannot stress enough how much pregnancy scares me. When Moriah said that the baby was shifting it made me cringe just imagining what that feels like. I’m not gonna lie pregnancy and childbirth is beautiful, but I have a VERY low pain tolerance so I don’t think I could go through with it.

As a mom of 2, the baby moving is the weirdest thing I've ever experienced, but it's also the most amazing feeling, for me, that's when I felt I was connecting with my children before they were born. I want to be clear: having babies is your choice and yours only, your fears are valid and should be respected ❤ But I feel medias emphasize so much on those dramatic parts, that we don't have a clear picture of what having kids is like. There are hard parts, some people have really bad experiences, but it's not the whole picture, and as my favorite midwife told me: you don't have to suffer! My parents got me a book on being an older sibling. I don't remember what it was called, but it was one of those really simple ones with cardboard pages because I was a toddler. It addressed that it might be frustrating or confusing to have a new baby, but how the baby could also be your friend and it could be fun to have a little sibling. I can't remember super well, but the way my parents introduced it to me really made an impression, and I was resolved to be the best eldest sibling I could be and always love my younger siblings.
