Re: the paint party section I am the same way. I don't like being told what to do, so I just do my own thing while everyone else is trying desperately to keep up with the instructor. Some of the colors, words, or designs they have aren't my favorite, so I just adjust it to my liking. I have a painting from Painting With a Twist on the wall in my office, and it doesn't look anything like the original painting was supposed to, lol. I just go to spend time with friends and/or family. Also, I have my own craft room, so I could do my own PWAT anytime I want for free, lol.
