Akiane, the music was initially loud for me, but I seemed to become better attuned to it as time went on. I wondered why one would paint over gold leaf, but I think the gold leaf forms an underpainting. Its effect turned out quite nice, leaving me with a sense of "once in the past" or "bygone era" feeling. The days of old shows in the Japanese parasol image. A calming street scene beautifully portrayed, the painting is appropriately titled. TY for posting.💖
