If these are used for coasters. Would they need to be painted with something to be "preserved?"
@arteza4 жыл бұрын
We do recommend using a preservative to ensure that the paint doesn't chip off through use.

In an upcoming video, Linda is using the Mica powder on ornaments.I cant wait to see how they turn out. I would try as lemon. Yellow is the color I'm using to accent my home. I have noticed other people using the Arteza products in their videos, and they also sang their praises of your products. I am anxious to try them.

Would it be possible to tape/or glue the wood slices onto a white Arteza canvas? I was thinks about getting the wood slices, painting them, and then doing what I just asked. Also I just wanted to thank you for being a productive and quality art company! I have already bought the coloring books. Arteza produces so many creative and unique products.
@arteza4 жыл бұрын
The wood slices are heavy compared to the weight of paint, so if anything we'd suggest gently stapling through the back of the canvas to affix the wood slices. We haven't tried this specific mixed media approach though, so if you find a method that works for you, feel free to let us know!

Are these okay to use a coasters? Will the paint be effected by hot drinks/water splillages x
@arteza4 жыл бұрын
We don't recommend using the wood slices as coasters unless they're sealed with a sealant. The moisture from the drink may cause the wood slice to split otherwise.
@lorenescreativecorner4 жыл бұрын
Looks fun! Seems easy enough for me actually follow and create these! Are those Arteza paint brushes?
@arteza4 жыл бұрын
Hey there! While we don't have paint brushes available just yet, we're putting our brushes to work on offering some in the future.

Hi,did you use any products at the end of the painting? To protect the paint etc
@arteza4 жыл бұрын
Hey there! You definitely can if you'd like, but for these specifically we didn't use any.
@arteza4 жыл бұрын
For these wood slices, we didn't need to seal them, but you're more than welcome to seal your designs for the added layer of protection! 🥰

Hi can you please tell me how to go about painting on tree stumps? I want to preserve the wood but not sure which steps to take. Is it fine to prime, use acrylic paint, then use wood varnish?
@arteza3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, it sure is. You can put varnish on top acrylic paint. We also recommend sealing the acrylic paint first before applying the varnish.
@appleknocker56 Жыл бұрын
On just plain wood (first will sand) then thin layer clear gesso to help paint from soaking into the wood but Arteza’s seem fine w/o prep!

Which glue we can you to joint 2 coasters

Our team hasn't attempted to use an adhesive on the wood slices; however, an internet search recommends using a glue specifically designed for wood to ensure that the pieces stick.
