I actually really like the blinds. I understand what you’re saying about them being darker reddish-cast than you expected but I’d live with them and decide later. I like the idea of bringing in different colors of wood (bamboo?). Great job on the painting BTW!

I really like the blinds! They're a little darker than the rest of the wood in the house so it's a nice contrast 😊. You've said in past videos that you have taken classes on home design & decorating because you aren't very good at it, but let me tell you something; even before those classes you were extremely good at decorating! You have a knack for making a house a home! I'm sure everyone who walks into your home feels welcome and loved, just like you make us feel every Tuesday and Friday mornings ❤!

I think if the blinds were a bit lighter they would match the beam and shelves better. You’re right, they look a bit too red, but they don’t look bad by any means. The house is coming together so well, I can’t wait to see the new stucco!

I like your ideas about curtains and just the kitchen blind. I think you are right about the color of them being a little off. But if it were me I'd have to keep them since they were custom made. I might try a white wash or little black dry brush to make them work... Love your idea of mixing up the paint you had for that ceiling, it looks light and bright! Everything looks great! I like the blinds! I don't think everything has to match perfectly, it adds some contrast. You could always get a vintage style runner with a rusty red color to bring it together.

I personally like the blinds. It adds interest to your windows and contrasts the White really nicely. I think curtains in that small dining room window would end up looking heavy... your home is beautiful!! It’s amazing how much you guys are able to get done with kids around!

I have enjoyed your home improvement series so much! We just finished a major renovation of our kitchen, dining room and living room. We had a galley kitchen and we swapped the kitchen with the dining room and took out the wall separating the kitchen from the living room. We now have a great room and we love it. Now comes the fun part, decorating! BTW, I love the blinds! They seem to really tie in with the beam on the ceiling!

I think the blinds match the beam pretty close -at least in the video. I don’t think they look bad...especially if you’re not going to have them down but three hours or so during the day. Love the video ❤️

You could always take a light color of paint and rub on/rub off, to make the blinds match closer to the tone of the beams. I have done this with all kinds of wood products and it is quite easy to achieve. Beautiful home, Hannah!

I’m with others I think the blinds are fine. I would live with them and see what you think but all and all it is your home and so go with your feelings. If they don’t seem right then they are not right for you. My favorite part was hearing your little boy say please, mommy and him wanting to paint. Hearing his little voice just made me smile.

I like curtains with sheers. Blinds are nice, but not a cozy and soft as curtains. I think curtains in your dinning room window would be a good choice. Same for the window next to your kitchen counter. You have lots of hard surfaces like I do in my house. My curtains make it softer and tones down the echo. Myhome is only six years old. We built it here in San Diego County. We have a lot of hard surfaces. I didn't think at the time we designed and built our house that it would be a problem. But, I soon found out how hard and echoey it was. We have a wood ceiling in the great room, rock around our wood stove and around two sets of 8' sliding glass doors, travertine and hard wood floors! Carpets and curtains, and sheers made it all much more softer and homey! I love what you are doing with your home. What fun it is to make a house a cozy home. May you have many years enjoying your family in your lovely home. love your videos

I honestly would get a different color of blinds, only because when I look at the blinds I also look at the beam, the floating shelves and the bar stools. I would want them to match closer to each other but that’s just me! I like the blinds in general! Great choice!
