Hi, I came across your channel less than a week ago and have blitzed through your trip to Spain. Fantastic. I'm going to blitz Scotland next whilst also looking, as now, at the most recent stuff. I'm not a van, camper type but love travel. I'm too old now to do it myself but have worked and lived abroad for most of the past 40 years. Dan, I'm like you not a fan of painting fences. I used to work for a guy who installed fences and we used to use a weed sprayer to paint. Not sure you guys have those old school pump sprayers but yea he used to thin the paint, and mix it, then pour it in the sprayer, pump that thing up and spray a fence 100 feet long in about 10 minutes. Mind you the fence was about 8 feet tall. Now it would take several coats because the paint was thinned down. To be honest we mostly used wood stain which was thin to start with but yea we did both paint and stain. Could pick up a weed sprayer it needs to be a good one at a Home and Garden Center. Use it a few times he would clean it but yea over time just needed a new one. Give it a try it will save you a lot and I mean a lot of time. You have to be careful of course NOT on a windy day nor do you wanna get it all over the grass around the fence. Drop cloth and go! The thing about spraying it over brush painting you can get those places that you just can not with a brush! Try it! Its a work Saver and it did work well once you get the paint figured out and how thinned it needs to be.

Hi Dan, caprinol ducksback is best paint water beads off. Rustic brown is darker than dark brown. I find dark brown too orange. That paint you have didn't stop algae growing back quick on my fence had to redo every year. Ducksback lasts for years no recoat every year. Best of luck with the paint job😀👍

HeyDan. Regarding your fence. Buy and try a WAGNER SPRAY UNIT. I have used mine on many decorating & fencing jobs and they are brilliant and quick. 👍
