@muratbarlastekin26854 жыл бұрын
That's so magnificient technic. Thanks. I understand that we can use the stand oil for glazing. Is it right? And the other question is if some areas will be bright and some ones not bright, I'm curious to know how we solve the non homogen brightness problem on canvas. Thanks for your answer in advance.
@ruedesilly4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Murat. Recent scientific analysis seems to show that almost no resin varnish is used in oil paintings until the 17th century. For me, it is important that the medium used for glazing is mainly drying oil. I myself use a drying oil as an medium, which is an emulsion of a small amount of egg yolk, but of course, it is possible to use only the drying oil. And to achieve a smooth tone, a slightly polymerized drying oil would be effective. For example, stand oil and sun thickened oil. And I'm sorry. I didn't quite understand your second question. I'm not good at English.
@muratbarlastekin26854 жыл бұрын
Dear@@ruedesilly thanks for the answer. The second question is about the brightness of the surface of finished painting. Without any varnish, some areas of canvas are shiny but some ones are not. It is about the spect of pigments I think. I want to get the bright finish after the paint was dried. Can I solve this problem via using any medium?

Very advanced. The finished painting looks amazing! A short question, are the color combinations you showed always roughly the same? Or does this depend on the model you're painting?
@ruedesilly3 жыл бұрын
The choices and combinations of colors have changed little by little over time, but they are basically the same for all paintings. However, the ratio of colors used will change depending on the skin color of the model and the light conditions at that time.

egg yolk drys more slowly than egg white when added to flax oil. If you want a fast drying oil, make 'glair' by distilling beaten egg whites and add three parts sun thickened flax oil to two parts glair.

Can you tell me what type of brushes you used for this painting? The ones that look like felt markers. Amazing painting.
@ruedesilly8 жыл бұрын
Thank you +Lynn4562 . I use various types of brushes. The brush which I use best is made with mongoose fur. It is brush suitable for smooth, delicate expression. I use a brush made with fur of the pig also. It is suitable brush for powerful brush stroke. When I paint the details, I use the brush made with kolinsky. When I paint the details of the hair, I use the brush having a little long fur made with the fur of the raccoon dog. It is made in Japan. Of course,the expensive brush is so high-performance, But the cheap brush is useful well equally. For example, if you have a cheap brush that have loose tip, You can paint a lot of hairs by the brush at a time.
