Painting Rock Hexes Using Hirst Arts Molds

Feb. 2018----A tip I learned from another KZbin video. Mix your water based paint in with your mixed up plaster of paris till you get the color desired. Saves a lot of hassle in painting it later on and of course, you can always later dry brush these parts to accent certain areas.I've also taken the largest piece of your cobblestone street section and glued 4 of them together and then made a silicone mold of it. Saves me a lot of casting time. Also done it with 2 of them glued together and the wavy & straight pieces. Same with your rock wall mold. This way I get multiple copies at one pouring. Looking forward to buying 2 of your tavern inn molds as I can use the buckets and other things which I'll again, make silicone molds of to reduce casting attempts. Outstanding product considering their cost. And the dozen plus molds I have were bought at least 20 years ago.

Could also have used a scale for the ratios - only one cup needed then
