Weird, back in the Renaissance era, when I was trained, we always started with the deepest areas of the model and worked out. So, very nearly the reverse order of this demo... skin first, leather and cloth next, armour last. Only time it was different was if you were going to do some significant drybrush work. Then you did the areas that were going to be drybrushed first, so you didn’t have to worry about hitting the rest of the model.
