Not the greatest OSL ever done, but you're right that they would've looked weird without it, so it was good to attempt at least. And next time you'll be better at it. :) I think if I ever get that box I might cut out those holes and put some tiny LEDs there... the base looks big enough to hide a battery in it.

Regarding the wet palette. I have a Red Grass wet palette. Nearly I immediately ditched their paper for parchment paper. The sponge was fine, but after many years they got stinky so I replaced them with folded kitchen paper with no appreciable performance change. So, don't feel obligated to buy one if you are happy with yours.

I just got an Army Painter one as it was recommended and you can get spares easily.

Hi Kathy, I can absolutely understand why you normally don't like highlighting or OSL, although luckily as an H0 guy I don't have anything to do with it anyway.😇 Apparently this is a must for Table Top Minis, so you'll have to go through it...😏 Anyway, you really did quite well!👍🏻🤩 By the way, I've recently been trying to learn how to use the magnifying glasses - it seems I have the same white ones as you.😊 And now I'm already looking forward to the upcoming video on the lit up lava, it will be very interesting!😃 Cheers - Ralf🍀🖖🏻

@@KathyMillatt Oh, I see.😉 Well, I'm pretty nearsighted (too) and can work better on tiny little things without my everyday glasses. Still, sometimes I have to get so close that I almost glue (or solder) my nose onto the workpieces.😁 And that's one of the reasons why I've never filmed while building my models (beside the fact that I had no suitable camara or smartphone): The only thing you would see in the picture would be the back of my silly almost bald, grey-haired head and nobody wants to watch that for sure!😬🙈🙅🏻‍♂️🤪 With using this headband magnifier glasses I hope to be able to change this situation...

That white is clean and crisp! The blue on the other hand is quite splotchy and uneven. Was that intentional? Otherwise you might want to pick a colour that is more opaque or add some more layers on. Looking forward to watching the next one, I always try to learn something from these videos!

I have an Iwata eclipse CS and I spray lacquers so I have an airbrush booth with external venting and I wear an organic solvents rated mask.
