My grandmother had irises in every color you can imagine. A whole corner of her yard in purples, pinks, white, solids, stripes, varied petals like this one … Thanks for the nostalgia. I can smell the giant peachy one right now 😌

This is that "chaotic control" (what I call it anyway. Lol) that I'm always drawn to but have struggled my entire life to create with. I have no trust in my hands to trust the utensil to translate what my minds eye sees. It's a problem that I don't think this woman encounters anymore. lol
