She knew how to paint but more importantly, how to teach. That combination is rare, unfortunately. And her generosity of spirit to share her skills is wonderful. Thank you, Helen, you have left a great legacy.

6:18 - I like the split screen side-by-side view. Helen is painting on the right side. The finished painting on the left. It gives me insight to where she is heading as she paints. For example, sometimes she will leave an area unpainted and I think to myself, I wouldn't leave that unpainted, I would do this. Then, I look at the painting on the left and I think, oh that's why she left it unpainted, she is going to be doing do that. Very clever. Keep it up.

She is just marvelous-what a wonderful instructor, making me find her used books online-unfortunately, mostly out of print. It’s a shame, so much for artists to learn from her.

She sounds like Judge Judy... Not as loud and forceful, but same accent. Wonder if they are from the same area? Great tutorial!

Although she always said she would teach us how to make soup, she admitted in one of her last videos, she does not know how to make soup.
