how do you get the black not to smudge the other colors?
@Gracemaeh4 ай бұрын
That’s what I want to know too!

Interesting graphite technique for the transfer, I usually trace over my initial designs and tape the tracing paper pieces to the back of my Arches & then use a light table but, this seems more efficient.
@SuperlativeAlliance5 жыл бұрын
Evan Petelle I have a hard time seeing through the paper when using my light table because the paper is so thick. That’s why I do it this way. Takes a little longer but works.

What type a brush do you use ?
@secondbestcollective Жыл бұрын
I don't use any specific brand of brush. I usually use cheap brushes from Wal-Mart.

Thanks dude! I definitely want to do some more tattoo art related content. I need to come up with some more ideas soon. Any suggestions would be great!

Great tutorial bro, but what brush did you use?
@secondbestcollective5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don't use any name brand brush. It is a watercolor size 7 if that helps. It's good for smaller pieces like this but if you are doing larger background stuff you will want something much bigger.

Faz outros vídeos mostrando como você faz a pintura no papel CANSON? Fico muito lindo! 🇧🇷
@secondbestcollective3 жыл бұрын
I don’t paint on Canson because I didn’t have any luck with it. I use a lot of water with some of my blending and the canson paper would bubble up.
@jutattoo82753 жыл бұрын
@@secondbestcollective I use canson 309g and because it has a heavier weight , I do not dilute the paint to make the painting and the effect is not nice . Thanks for the content .

hi!! i know im super late to this vid, but do the types of brushes used matter? i have the same paints and paper as you, just not the highest quality round brushes. thanks!
@SuperlativeAlliance4 жыл бұрын
lina diamante I don’t have any kind of specific brush I use. I honestly think the one I’m using in this video is what I got out of a cheap pack of multiple brushes at Walmart.
@sebastiangonz56693 жыл бұрын
hi, what colors did you use?
@secondbestcollective3 жыл бұрын
They are all from the Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus set. I use the carbon black, deep red rose, gamboge, venetian brown and phthalo green in this video. I now use the olive green color from dr. ph. martin's instead of the phthalo green since making this video.

Do you like this method better than spitshading?
@SuperlativeAlliance4 жыл бұрын
Liu Gracee I prefer just using a cup of water myself.
@denisha11934 жыл бұрын
Hi what watercolors do you recommend for a beginner?
@SuperlativeAlliance4 жыл бұрын
Denisha W I would really start with the Dr. Ph. Martin’s like I’m using in the video. I used cheaper ones when I first started and it really frustrated me. The paints really make a huge difference.

You left out how you painted the banner..
@secondbestcollective4 жыл бұрын
I just apply the color to the one edge and start washing out the color with water to fade it. It's usually a mix of yellow and brown.

@@secondbestcollective thanks so much for your reply , I’ll try it
