I tried water recently but used acrylic...must say the soft flow of watercolour looks alot easier. Sooooo thrilled to see you painting a ‘seascape’ - I looove your style & process of painting but I’m only interested in painting landscapes, urban scenes or seascapes and I have been hoping and hoping since I first began following you that you’d paint a landscape etc., I’m really, REALLY surprised you chose to paint this on hot press paper as I’m sure you know the wonderful textures that can be achieved with cold press and especially rough paper, especially the effects from granulation as these papers are a match made in heaven for painting watercolour landscapes etc., I’m really curious to know how much of a difference there would have been had you painted this on cold press or rough paper…. thanks for doing this and please, PLEASE I’d love you to do more ‘scapes’….

Every artist portrays water in such a variety of techniques. Love yours! I try painting water as often as possible and see improvement, but not complete satisfaction. You have inspired me to not give up and be a bit braver and relaxed. Living walking distance to a lake and using your inspirational painting, I am planning on some plein air watercoloring very soon.
