That turned out great ER (Napoleon approves). I tried an experiment with some watered-down "Clear Schoolglue" with a drop or two of actual paint and then added my crushed in rock-color. Got some very interesting effects and didn't have the overpowering color problem from the paint pigments. It's all trial and error ,,, and fun while trying. Loved your results!!!! (ah-huh. huh. huh).

Wow! I love that you used your own process. So creative. I loved the use of the stone powders, how they added a granular aspect to the painting. In the end, it is inspiring to see such a creative way to paint. And the painting is beautiful. Love it! 💜

Hi ER😊. I've been trying to figure out how to dye the stone dust from my trim saw. I have pounds of it. I just believe there must be something I can do with it. I tried making a slurry and using it as a polish. Didn't work 😮

Oh good golly ER that is so amazing, you have talent that we have just begun to see! I’m so impressed with your painting technique it’s really cool, you have a very keen eye for details! A question, since you use glue as a base do you mix them in small amounts or can you add drops of water to thin it out and reconstitute the paint?
@everybodyrocks

You can definitely add water to the glue and rock mixture to thin it out, but it will also dilute the pigment a bit too. The more water (and more glue) the less pigmented the "paint" result will be. The glue will affect it less than the water. Thank you for watching and commenting Wanda! 😭🙏💖💕

I wonder how the ancient Egyptians prepared minerals/elements like lapis, malachite, hematite, and gold. Then what recipes they used to mix facial makeups??? I know some mixed minersls/elements with various kinds of rendered fat (crocodile, duck/goose). For mineral paint big concern is toxicity but especially facial makeup. Did that contribute to their shorter lives??? Def wouldn't want to wear Realgar lipstick. Unless you want a more lethal kiss. 💋 Oooooo La La!hahaha Definitely use a fine mesh to sift powders. A chef kitchen chinois, Silkscreening cloth/old handkerchief or some hash bubble bags, reusable metal&plastic coffee filter basket would all probably work well. Then what the coffee grinder wouldn't get fine enough put in a mortar and pestle and seive again. Also curious if some sort of blender with liquid would be more effective way of getting smooth paints. Probably the best suggestion is the small ball mill.

Definitely need a fine mesh and also need to grind it down better. Will suggested a small ball mill, I think that or even my mortar and pestle would be good. I do wonder if that stuff contributed to a shorter life span, that a quite a few other things! Aren't we lucky that we live in the now? Also, that poison lipstick reminds me of Poison Ivy, lol! 💖💕

I would definitely suggest to mix colors before hand, but sometimes I like mixing on the canvas. If I was super serious about the painting then I DEFINITELY would mix before hand. Thank you for watching and commenting Larry! 🙏💖💕
