I was surprised that the curator pronounced 'Ely' like the name 'Eli' ('ee-lie') rather than like the Isle of Ely ('ee-lee') so I did some research online and discovered that the the title comes from an Ely in Ireland, not the place in Cambridgeshire, and is indeed pronounced like 'Eli' - it just goes to show, it pays to get your facts straight before making a fool of yourself by questioning someone else's superior knowledge ;) Interesting video, and a remarkable transformation indeed.

It’s a pretty terrible painting of pompous rich people from the past. Things have changed so much and are still the same.
