wow. your palette knife work is like SURGICAL!!!! This is so inspiring. And the rich texture and color blending is phenomenal. Not only am I looking at the palette knife in a whole new way but I'm also looking at oils in a different way too.

It's used like this a lot in more abstract pieces of work, and is VERY good for straight lines, man-made shapes, creating a warped effect, and all of this makes it excellent for images involving water.

I don’t know why it makes me miss my hometown, although my hometown looks nothing like this painting. Thanks for making my Sunday morning inspired. Painting with simple tools is a great way to meditate. I may try it sometime.

Mesmerizing! If this painting would be at my home I am sure I my eyes wouldn't ever leave this beautiful masterpiece. Its giving me feeling of noon when sun is about to set and it had been raining very much the entire day but now the weather is calm. The sky from where I live also look pinkish and purplish coloured when weather is like that. I love it.

I love it. The only technical thing I wonder about (and I may be completely off on this, so take it with a grain of salt) is if those boat's reflections would be darker right where they start, due to the shadow of the boats themselves. So, it would be like a gradient mask in photoshop, if that makes sense. Even so, beautiful colors and technique!
