Pair a mobile phone to a VW Bluetooth kit - "How to"

Hi! My problem is, that I don't see the Phone menu on the MFD menu. I have a Phone button on my stereoboard though. Under the setup Media menu, I can see "Activate Bluetooth audio".. But nore my phone or any other device can seem to find this car.. Please somebody - Help me?

Hi, I buyed a VW Passat 2010 with RCD 510 and i can't connect my iphone. Its says that the phone isn't compatible... any help?? Thanks!!!

Is there a way to change the name of the CAR'S bluetooth name? When i go into my phone to pair it it says something like VW BT 56619 Can i change that?

Hello, will this work on a MK. 6 Golf without MFSW? I have a RNS 510 installed and I want to install a 5KO 035 730e bluetooth kit.

trying to connect iphone 5C to Passat CC. Car finds the iphone but then states mobile phone not compatible. Tried connecting with ios 8.2 have now updated to ios 9 but still no connection.

+Robert Smith Hi Robert, it does depend on the age of your car as earlier ones had bluetooth but only worked with a system called RSAP where the car took control of the sim card. The technology didn't take off (think Bluray/HD DVD format battle) so the system only worked with old Nokia's etc. That's the only thing we can think of.
