Pairing a Kestrel Elite to a Leica Rangemaster 2800.com

In this video we go over how to pair a Leica Rangemaster 2800.com to a Kestrel Elite 5700. The Leica Rangemaster 2800.com can provide the Kestrel with the Range, Firing Direction, and Inclination angle. The Kestrel will then calculate the firing solution and provide that solution on its own display as well as feed that back to the Leica which will then display the hold over in the Rangefinder. This allows for remote, hands free, operation of the Kestrel in a wind vane mount or any mount for that matter while still being able to see the firing solution in the range finder.

The kestrel can hold 10 targets. Is there a way of ranging more than one target sequentially without having to identify target1 then two etc on the kestrel. Thanks for the video excellent easy to follow.

Yes, this is something we plan to start doing in the future. We just picked up all the equipment needed to do this universally.

Much thanks for the video. I have a question: will the kestrel just show the ballistic data or will it add its own parameters to the calculation (wind etc) and give you a more precise output?

Kestrel takes the range from the Leica and then uses the AB Engine to calculate the rest out.

Any plans on making bt with like a garmin foretrex 701 just like it does with a kestrel

This would be something that would need to happen between Garmin and Leica. If you wish to see this feature the best thing to do is contact both those companies requesting it.

I am getting the Leica and a Kestral for air rifle shooting. WHich Kestral would be best? I do not need overkill but I want one of the better Kestrals. I know the 5700 line has bluetooth but which one do I need? Thank you

In the rename, forget, lock screen in the bt settings. What does lock do? Ive been trying to figure out what its doing.

Hi hope you can help. If i have my unit setup in mils will it show a decimal in the view finder display? For example, if my solution is 3.4 mil wil it show 3.4 mil in the 2800 display or will it show 34 clicks after it shows the range. So a decimal between 3 and 4. Thanks

My question is how well does the Bluetooth reconnect when the Leica times out and comes back up? This could be an awesome tool for the long range shooter or hunter.. I am debating buying this to go with my 5700 elite

I have purchased the new Leica 2800.com and can not get it to connect to the Leica Hunting APP with my Android or with my wife iPhone. does anyone have any ideas. I have tried everything that I can think of to get these to connect.
