what i love about sevier county is that i don’t have to tow my fourwheeler to the trail head because i can just drive it there. there are back roads to pretty much anywhere that allow atvs, side by sides, dirtbikes, etc. i live in in richfield and i can take my atv from my garage straight to monroe mountain, fish lake, big lake, upper box creek and lower, etc. it’s a great community to be in and cops don’t give a shisia as long as the atv is registered and your not breaking traffic laws

Thanks for the comments. We use an old program that isn't around anymore that's on an old PC. Will have to upgrade one day. Using After Effects for the video maps. Have a good one.

Holy Crap that looks fun! I’m moving down into the Beaver area soon and we plan on getting Side-by-sides. But we’re getting some for a farm that are in the 65” width or so. Looks like some of these trails are limited to 50”. If you haven’t already, would you make a video or give a route that would be awesome for the wider side-by-sides??? Thanks a ton!!!
@ATVOverland
@ATVOverland 4 жыл бұрын
Howdy and thanks for tuning in. The width restrictions in this area are at 50" and 60". At 65" wide, you'll be on forest service roads. Still great riding on the Paiute. Simply download the MVUM for the forest and you're set. Have a blast!

Great video, in Paiute are there any trails wide enough for 64” UTV’s?
@ATVOverland
@ATVOverland 4 жыл бұрын
At 64", you're going to be riding forest roads. Having said that, there's thousand of miles of riding, and it's scenic.

Hey Guys love the videos, thanks for posting. Looking to bring our quad up there soon. Would you say a 50" side by side can do these trails? thanks!

Thank you so much for sharing this. We are from Canada and looking for a place to trailer to and ride. We have 60" RZRs machines, will we still be able to do many of the trails or are they mostly 50"?
@ATVOverland
@ATVOverland 5 жыл бұрын
There are thousands of miles of forest roads to ride, but at 60", this will limit you on the true 2 track ATV trails that you'll enjoy the most. I would recommend to check out the Arapeen Trail system (which is just north of the Paiute). This seems to be the more "over 50" friendly trail system. www.utahatvtrails.org/ Also, all of Moab is now width restricted.

Haha, I get it. Back in 2009, some friends and I started meeting up yearly for a guys weekend to camp, ride ATV's, etc. We quickly realized we wanted more ATV camping adventures which eventually led us to the Paiute in 2014 for our first ATV back-country adventure. That changed everything! So our videos and content on the website (atvoverland.com/) is meant to inspire and a resource to help get people out on the trails. Thanks for tuning in.

thanks for sharing this! my friend and I want to do this on our motorcycles. Do you see any issues with that?
@ATVOverland
@ATVOverland 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I'm no expert when it comes to bikes, but I would think you wouldn't have any issues. The most challenging trails would be Barney Lake Trail (this video) and the Rocky Ford Canyon (Day 4). I would encourage you to watch all 5 videos. Part of our intention is to give everyone a feel for the trails. If you don't see anything that would cause concern, then go for it. The route information is on our web page. Given the fuel we were carrying, we had a range of around 180 miles. Hope this helps.

I did the trail system with some friends last year one took a bike after second day he cut out early and rode the highway back to marysvale. he traded it for the spare for wheeler. He said less of a work out on a four wheeler. Much more enjoyable. God for thought.

what about gas,, are there places near the trails to get gas,, my can-am outlander max xt 1000 2up in camo has a 5.45 gallon tank,, i take 2,, 2 gallon cans on long rides,, thats just over 9 gallons total,, fully loaded and with my wife and i we get about 65 to 70 miles to 1 tank, depending on terrain and how aggressive we ride,, we plan to go to paiute but we don't want to take 80 gallons of gas and no food and water for us
@ATVOverland
@ATVOverland 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is gas. Keep watching to series and you'll see where we refill. Salina, Joseph, Circleville. Also, if you pickup the Nat Geo map, it's easy to see how you can take a side trip to many towns along the trail. It's a great trip.

haha, I hear ya. On the flip side, if the word doesn't get out, the economy doesn't grow, which is necessary for a sustainable trail system. But I agree, I like the trails to myself also.

Great job on the video! It looks like this trip would've been a great opportunity to really test out that Bosski Wagon! But from the review video of the Bosski, it looks like it's been used a lot. My guess is that it already belonged to someone you know, and you were able to borrow it to do the review. Maybe you didn't have access to it yet when you took this trip? Either way, I really enjoy the quality of your videos!

Thanks for watching. Ironically enough, we started out with 2 riders with trailers. We quickly determined that the hill climbs were going to be a challenge with the trailers, so they altered their trip and took a different adventure / trip. The trailers are great, but some of the hill climbs, like the Barney Lake Trail, no fun with a trailer, and at times, not safe. More to follow regarding trailers on this trip in a future video when time permits.
