2014 Ford escape front bearing replacement

I block the rear wheels, jack up one front wheel from the lower control arm, remove the wheel, have someone start the car and put into gear, the hub would spin and I used a mechanic's stethoscope with the probe pressed against the steering knuckle listening for a bad bearing. It doesn't load the bearing like driving, but, if the bearing is bad, you can usually hear it. I really enjoy your channel, thank you.

Yes you could, but it's hard to find whole wheel hub in good condition as last cars was produced late 2019

Can you replace broken studs on this vehicle? Would I need to take out the entire hub like shown in the video?

I'm not sure, but I think there is a gap you can pull the stud out.

Did you have any issues putting the ABS Sensor back in the slot? I can’t seem to get it to go back in the slot.

No problem, may be you miss the abs hole

On this particular design, you have to have the gap of the snap ring that holds the bearing in lined up with the hole for the abs sensor or else the sensor won't go back in. I have done several like that. Most have the snap ring on the outside and it doesn't matter but these escapes go the other way.

I know this is 9months ago, but the snap ring has to be turned a certain way or the abs sensor hits it.
