Soldiers came down from the heights during winter, except this time, the Pak Army, led by Musharraf, planned to occupy the heights in the absence of the Indian Army. Pichhwaare pe bahut goliyan parhi, as many lost their lives while vacating the posts and running back to the safety of POJK. Nawaz Sharif had to beg Clinton to intervene. India ne koi raat ke andhere mein attack nahin kiya, they uprooted the Pakistanis from the posts. This is the real story of Kargil in a nutshell. While Vajpayee ji and Sharif were shaking hands, Musharraf was occupying vacant heights and stabbing both Sharif and India.
