To be honest, I have never gone to ATM or Bank and withdraw even a single rupee since 2019.. it has been almost 4 and half year, I never felt a need to take even 10 Rupees. It's a revolutionary system and India is far ahead of even Western countries.. Great to be here..

When every small vendor has a QR Code, it means they all have a bank account. It was Modiji’s great vision when he launched a great drive for account opening where even poor people could open a bank account with one rupee and there was no penalty for zero balance. People did not understand then but every subsidy, every payment under government scheme started coming to the people directly into their accounts. So everyone opened a bank account. Now of course, online payments are very common and all are benefitting from it. Also, the tax collection of the government has increased manifold. Hats off to Modiji.

This person being on a short visit obviously saw only the UPI payment facilities in shops, restaurants and transport. In India even regular house expenses like payment to maid servants, plumbers, carpenters, electricians etc payments are now made via UPI. Not only outside the house but most people do not keep too much of cash in the house also

Last time I had 500/- in my pocket was in 2016... Last time I visited Bank ATM was in 2018 to withdraw cash... Last I visited Bank was in 2019 just to get one of my accounts online.... I do everything online only through my mobile phone starting from ordering food - onlin shopping - buying medicines - booking doctor's appointment - bus tickets - train tickets - airline tickets - cab booking - bike taxi - roadside smoking - buying alcohol - showing driver's licence and other vehicle documents to police all over the mobile phone - buying insurance for me and family and also for vehicle anything and everything only through mobile phone. Only thing I make sure is that my mobile phone fully charged and internet is working fine 😊.

I didn't visited bank from almost 2 years now and didn't use ATM around a year. Somedays back I went somewhere around 300 kilometres, stayed 2 days in a hotel and I had 50 RS cash in my pocket and when I came back I had 15-20 rs cash left. And I didn't even concerned about cash.

I am basically from Kolkata and for my work I live in Bangalore. I rarely visit ATM for cash withdrawal, to be Frank I never get worried whether I do have cash or not with me. Infect I visited ATM once in the past 6 months. Just carry your phone and you are done. This is really helpful.

The payment system is indeed revolutionary & India is ahead of Europe & the US also in this regard. This system is not only very convenient but has also made even a small roadside thelawala to open a bank account in order to be able use this payment technology. Common man, small shop owners all have started opening Bank accounts to avail this facility. It has increased the openings of Bank accounts and the money gets deposited in the bank resulting in country's economy developing and growing. The money starts floating in the economy.

Upi is unique feature is that its free of any charge which is not possible any method present in whole world. + its different from other Qr based payment which basically based on wallet(require seprately topup) system and becomes complex when other company Qr code is used Which in case of UPI is bank account based all company Qr code work on single app.

UPI is very simple to use, as most of bank accounts are linked to mobile number. Money is transferred from one account to another account through linked mobile number. Scanning of QR code is not required for person to person transfer , only mobile number is required. I use UPI to transfer funds to my village.

We are going to be charged for using UPI but it is convenient, as it is actually saving our time of going to ATM and withdraw cash, handle cash. UPI transactions does not have any taxes or transaction fees like credit/debit card. It is absolutely free. If u want to pay to shop or send money to any persons, it does not taxed.
