You can't say nehru was an agent. Due to revolutions in the 18th century in Europe democracy, capitalism and communism had taken over political control from kings leaving kings with no power. Due to the success of revolutions in Europe, democracy became very popular so even Indians studying in the UK were impressed and wanted the same to be implemented. So, it was natural for the British to choose to work with those leaders who wanted to bring democracy in India. This had made princely states doomed. Religious fights have always been there since the 9th century. It was muslim leader's decision to divide India on the religion line so that they had a fair chance of winning an election. Like kings were fearful losing power, democratic leaders were also fearful that they can never be elected in democratic system. It was a natural decision for jinna and other muslim leader to somehow divide India on the religion line so that they don't have the risk of losing power. Blame must go to jinnah and iqbal. Nehru and Gandhi had nothing to worry about as Hindus were the majority almost everywhere.

If you are an Indian citizen you can buy property. As per article Kashmiris are/were Indian citizens, so they are/were eligible. Just think about the Kashmiri pandits who were thrown out by peaceful community.... Were they not able to buy property? Did the govt bring new rules to make them eligible for buying property? So from the beginning there is no such restriction for buying property outside. Only the reverse is true... No one outsider can buy property in Kashmir. Even no one is interested in buying property there. That's the actual reason they depend on tourism only. Who will invest money with such restrictions. For opening Theatre, Mall, Industry someone needs land. Invester is not planning to do all in the sky😂
