This is a Bangla qawwali song. Lucia learnt it from our dear friend Robi Das Baul when she was visiting India on her Fulbright-Nehru Scholarship in Shantiniketan, West Bengal India.
Ochin Pakhi, Capivaras do Norte and Bidyang Dehi organized a fundraising event at Loyola Park Beach, Chicago to raise funds to support the victims who are affected by the second wave of Covid and Yaas cyclone in Bengal.
We as a band (or Bangla ganer dol) bring the soulful music from various parts of West Bengal and Bangladesh (or East Bengal) to the heart of Chicagoland. The lyrics are spiritually uplifting and the tunes are such that you so want to dance.
