The only man in the history to have defeated the Prophet Muhammad pbuh's army (in his pre islamic days), and One of few man in history never to have lost a single BATTLE. I mean, he was chosen by Allah Almighty to be the Sword of Allah, from time really. After accepting Islam, he was so good as the commander that people started almost believing him to be some super natural, hence Hazrat Umar ra (2nd caliph at the time) rightly dropped Khalid ra as the commander which later Khalid Bin Walid ra acknowledged was right thing, because he knew people would start taking him for the helper when ALLAH is the One who helps and gives whatever we have!
