And by 2012 he became the main batsman of the team. Atleast in ODIs and T20s. Shikhar went and won Man of tournament and highest run scorer in Champions Trophy. Here KL rahul is playing since 8 yrs still he hasn't been able to be the main batsman of the team. SKY is not able to deliver in any under pressure match. Iyer couldn't do it as well. The only player who has it done is Risabh Pant but that too only Tests and we have seen glimpses in ODIs. If our new players will have temperament then only it will be useful. But the fact is none of our upcoming players has been able to perform extremely well for 1-1.5 yrs and become that main batsman of the team.

Fans like you are the problem why issues in the team do not get addressed and fixed. There was nothing positive today except the Top 3 and Bishnoi. In fact, it once again highlighted the fact that our middle order has no fighting spirit, strength or skillset to execute under pressure matches. Even when the Top 3 fired, our middle order couldn’t even support them one bit! Imagine if Top 3 score 70 runs in total. Would you have any expectation on our middle-lower order to score another 110 runs from that point? No. Guess what…teams like Pakistan do have a middle-lower order to propel their team as a TEAM UNIT. We are reliant on 2-3 individuals and when that doesn’t happen, the others don’t take over in responsibility…because maybe they don’t have skill and/or ability to cope in pressure. We don’t even have a proper lower order. Our last 5 batters (tail) can’t hit the ball. Out of Pakistans 5 batters, ppl like Shadab, Nawaz can hit big! The second and EVEN BIGGER ISSUE is our bowling attack, or rather the lack of any attack. 145kph doesn’t exist in India! Despite the IPL and sooo much money. Spinners are bowling hit me balls and low full tosses. Compare this to Shadab and Nawaz. Thank god for Bishnoi, he saved some face for the TEAM.

Totally Clueless performance 😣 Pak spinners bowled Brilliantly and that's why they made a strong comeback after India's fine start. Surya, Rishabh played unnecessary shots and got out cheaply. Surya is also having problems against the fast bowlers who bowls quickly. Chahal, Hardik bowled recklessly. We will never win anything with this type of apporch and there is some serious problems in Indian players mindset, they have psychological weakness, they're unable to handle the pressure situations 😣
