(27 Mar 1978) STORY
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto languishes in a Lahore prison under sentence of death while 16 lawyers battle to free him. The man who has served in Pakistan's three mightiest regimes, twice been Prime Minister and, until a few months ago, was arguably its most successful President, now humiliated and defeated, lies shackled to the bed in his cell. Under Ayub Khan and Yahya Khan, Bhutto distinguished himself as his country's ablest politician. For two decades, he held virtually every portfolio in the government - and survived. But in July 1977 he followed in the footsteps of Pakistan's previous leaders, thrown out of office in disgrace. His downfall came during Pakistan's first free elections under civilian rule. Allegations of corruption and even murder followed during a bloodless coup headed by the army Chief of Staff, General Zia.

It was like an angel whispering in the ears of a prophet in the desert of Arabia. In a shattered world of India, the only idea took a life of its own with disastrous consequences was the idea of two nations. No where in history suggest that a rural agrarian peasantry is equipped for a nation-state. Mr. Jinnah should had been aware of this fact. Englishmen were aware of this fact. Hindus were aware of this fact. Only Muslims, with their characteristic ignorance, saw otherwise. Results are all around. Death, destruction and widespread poverty.

Pakistan's problems has nothing to do with their religion of majority (or at minimum it has something to do with extremism, which is much more different than general religion because most people aren't extremists and do not relate their faith with the extremists and their faith cannot be related with extremism). Enough generalization and stereotypes. Co-existence doesn't equal to co-relation. India has it's own fair share of problems and it's ironic how you're being ignorant towards that and that doesn't mean it is the fault of Hinduism or Hindus. @@magma9000 Either the guy thinks that stuffs like cow vigilance, Hindutva extremism, desecration of Islamic stuffs (materials considered holy by Muslims), vandalism of Mosques, destroying houses and properties of Muslims with bulldozers, hate speech against Muslims and non-Hindus in general, restrictions targeted specifically towards Muslims (like bans on modesty, even when an individual wears it by their intent), mob attacks against Muslims by Hindutva terrorists, etc. are some sort of good stuffs (it's not and nobody deserve to face such stuffs due to their religion or irreligion) in which case he's absolutely disgusting. Or, the guy thinks that they are actual problems, but ignores them which would be funny considering who they're calling ignorant.
