The army installed him and gave him a script and he tried to be popular among people so he can snatch the power of Army. The timer started for Imran when he opposed the extension of Gen. Bajwa but failed badly ending up giving him extension. But damage was done and then Army began to play its game. There was only one powerful person in ISI who liked Imran, infact he was the one who assured the Army that this is the guy we need. Imran wanted him as ISI head forever but Army removed him. And then Army secretly announced support for opposition , they got united and pushed the Imran. Basically in Pakistan , there are two powers : Govt and Army. And both powers try to self-defend themselves. Its like Man and Snake, both think that if i dont kill, i'll get killed. Its history in pakistan. Its a man (army) and snake (pm) game, in which always the Man wins. This time same thing happened. To protect himself Imran doubted Bajwa and to Protect himself Bajwa doubted Imran and both tried to remove each other and as usual pm was thrown out.
