I am a medical student, once as I was leaving gynae ward a patient walked out in front of me, her husband was standing outside waiting for her, and the way he enquired her about her health,check-up etc really impressed me. What amazed me was his polite & soft manner even though they had been married for 4 years and had a child already (I had taken that patients history just prior to leaving) contrary to what people say that "shadi k baad pyar khatm hojata". Normally we don't get to see such an attitude from husbands towards their wives. Some even go as far as belittling their discomfort to habitual grumbling (more obvious in a hospital setting) The attitude of that man was what I believe any person will want from their partner.

1) personal psychological assessment of both husband and wife 2) pre and post marital counseling of not only girl and boy but also both families 3) parenting courses for both parents 4) personality assessment and examine before and after furst child/ before second child 5) strict legislation against 3 divorces in one go ( it's against sharia law as well) Jazakallah

My mother is a bipolar patient, and because of this, the doctor advised that my mother’s house be kept separate. So when I was 3 years old, I used to spend the whole day with my grandmother and go to my mother's house at night. I was deprived of many things-especially the love and care that children get from their mothers, which I still long for even today. Because of the stress, my hair started turning white when I was just 8 years old, I had to start wearing glasses, and I even began to stutter. Now that I am 18, I no longer stutter, but whenever I tell my mother about the difficulties of my childhood, she responds by saying, "I spit on your childhood." I don’t know where to go. I didn’t receive love from my father, nor did I get affection from my mother.

This is what inter-generational trauma looks like and it exists in many culture. Young boys from broken families grow up to be broken men, who break their wives, who in turn break their children, both sons and daughter. These sons and daughters then grow up to be broken men and women, who get married and break their spouses and their kids... we need to break this cycle... and Restart.
