Javaid Miandad is undoubtedly acknowledged, highly calibrated figure but Asif Mujtaba is the most unfortunate, most underrated & forgotten legend across the world. Most of his knocks came against strong oppositions under unfavourable circumstances especially his stunning performance at Hobart against Australia in 92. His match winning inning in Perth in 85-86 & this match also. He was a true match winner but unfortunate not to be apple of eye of captain & management.

I remember this series, it was played on the next level, WI won against Pak, Pak against SA and SA defeated WI in every match, it was a three way stand off till the finals, great level of cricketing brilliance. Pak bowling brilliance was at its peak in this series. Even in this match, SA needed just 25 off 5 overs with 7 wickets in hand and Hanse (still the best captain in the history of SA, till the match fixing controversy) batting like he was playing on a different pitch, somehow the two W's chocked them to an easy win. Miss the 90's.

I'm 2001 born (Bangalore), but I have huge collection of Old Cricket videos. Javed Miandad.... Almost at the end of his career...!! But still he proved why he was a World Class player. He was a great fighter and he was good on bouncy tracks too. He never cared for the opponents. Asif Mujtaba was a lost hero for Pakistan as he was an excellent player against pace & bounce. Veteran opener Shoaib Mohammad was a surprise selection...!! Amir Sohail was injured I guess. Hansie Cronje.... High Quality player. Still can't believe why he got involved in the match fixing...!!
