@seher See, you shouldn't be feeling bad for how good the hotels are in India when compared. India is a free nation absolutely no sanctions or trade restrictions from any other country. Mostly because, there is no threat scenario here and also because of the IT advancement and the Government being stable adds to the whole experience. Due to the above reasons, lot of tourism happens and hence there is a need for a lot of hotels. And a majority of these hotels are new and being managed/owned by people who are well travelled. Once again, awareness and access is available across. It's a whole different ball game! I'd say, you are doing pretty good for yourself, on behalf of India, I'd love to invite you to our country and experience it personally.

The Indian hotel shown is The Grand Oberoi in Kolkata. It is situated at Esplanade, centre of the city and a very congested area. It is one of the famous hotels of India and you will never get a room there in 65 $. More like double of 65$ minimum
