So In Mahabharata Ashwatthama is Guru Dronacharya's son. He is an avatar of one of the 11 rudras. He was also born with a gemstone, Mani on his forehead. This stone gives him power over all living beings below humans, protects him from hunger, thirst, fatigue, old age, diseases, weapons, and deities, and makes him almost invincible and immortal. It is also said to protect him from demons and spirits. Guru Dronacharya was the teacher of The Pandavas and The Kauravas. He and Ashwatthama fought in the battal from the Kaurava's side. Dronacharya had no other choice but to fight from the Kaurava side. On the other hand Ashwatthama was fighting for Kauravas because he wants power After getting defeated by The Pandavas in the war of Kurukshetra, Duryodhan, the eldest of the Kauravas asked his friend Ashwatthama to seek revenge (or maybe Ashwatthama just wanted to seek revenge for his friend's and father's death, I am not sur about this part. Anyway) So, Ashwatthama had a boon that he can summon the Bramhastra. After killing the son of the Pandavas. He went for their grandson, the successor of pandavas who is left and btw the successor, Parikshit was still in the womb of his mother. Ashwatthama then summoned the Brahmastra to kill the pandavas. Krishna, the 8th Avatar of Vishnu told Arjuna, one of the five Pandava brothers to summon his own Bramhastra, A sage Vyasa then intervenes and asked both the warriors to call back their Bamhastras as the clash of the will destroy the world. Arjuna then calls his waepon back. Ashwatthama however not knowing how to call bramhastra back, redirects it to the womb of Uttara, the mother of Parikshit, to kill him and tried to fullfill his oath. Krishna then saved both the mother and the child from the efects of Bramhastra. Ashwatthama then made to surrender. Krishna then cursed Ashwathama to roam the forests with blood and pus, and cry for death until the end of time, but death would not meet him. Krishna also made Ashwathama surrender his forehead gem. He is now waiting for Kalki, The 10th Avatar of Vishnu. He will help Kalki to defeat Kali. And Big B here indeed is playing the Ashwatthama. Hoping that this will help (If you read it then).

Aswathdahama is a character in Mahabharat. He is the son of Dronacharya. He had mani on his forehead. During the war by mistake he killed the kids of Pandav while they were sleeping instead of Pandavas themselves. Shri Krishna got furious and asked him to remove mani from his forehead and cursed him that he will be alive till the earth exists and he will be constantly having the pain in his forehead during his lifetime. In Uttarakhand there is a story of people seeing a huge person asking for oil to apply on his forehead as he is having severe pain.

Ashwathama is son of dronacharya. Teacher of both pandvas and kaurvas from Mahabharat. He was friend of duryodhan the eldest kaurva and fought from kaurva side in Mahabharat war. He is one of seven cheeranjivi (immortals). From Hindu texts and scriptures. We Hindu believe that he is still alive like all other cheeranjivi(immortals) till the end of kalyug. I don't remember all other cheeranjivi names but some of them are lord Hanuman, lord parshuram, Vibhishan(brother of Ravan) from tretayuga and kripacharya, Ashwathama from dwaparyuga. Ashwathama is one of the important person from mahabharat.but his immortal life is curse given by lord Krishna. Unlike All other immortals have blessed for immortal life.

Toh unhone Kauravon (evil side) ko support kiya tha war main aur last mai sabse evil kaam karke Pandavon ke bachhon ko sotey waqt mara aur unki pregnant bahu ke garbh par Brahmastra chalane ka paap kia. Isliye sabse bada evil bana aur dard aur budhape ke saath kabhi na marne ka curse khud Bhagwan Shri Krishna ne diya usse.

As you guys love info as contexts Ashwatthama is also said to be an Ansh Avatar(half avatar) of lord shiva just like Hanuman is a Rudra avatar(fierce avatar) of Shiva! Both being shiva avatars helps Kalki avatar that of lord vishnu (showing us the eternal love and bond of Vishnu and shiv ji) it’s good to see Indian cinema evolve and cast huge stars to it etc!
