I m from MP ,but frequently visit Delhi and Mumbai. In Delhi people are aggressive but of helping nature. In Mumbai people may be soft spoken but are selfish by nature. Another point I noted is,In Delhi you come across THUGs while in Mumbai you will come across GANGSTERs more .

South Mumbai is the Mumbai City where you have rich people living. South Mumbai areas include Gate Way of India (Colaba), Worli, Backbay, where the rich guys live. So Abhishek was trying to say that her attitude was of a typical south Mumbai person who would book a cab and doesn't understand a middle class or poor Indian people's problems. Just like if I would asked how to travel to NewYork and the answer would be as simple as take a flight. ..... Giving cuss words by people can be found in both cities. But I think it is more widely used in Delhi than in Mumbai as far as in public area is concerned.

When I first shifted to Bombay from Calcutta in the year 1995 on new assignment the job, what I realised was that people in Bombay were very friendly, polite, disciplined... and very busy. They were very particular for the que in the bus stand or for local train ticket window etc. Once a while I used to travel by train from Bandra to Andheri as I used to stay in Powai, I remember I used to tender exact fare while buying train ticket, but the person behind the counter demanded more, I argued .. he explained fate has gone up (May be I was taking train after a long gap). There was no protest etc when dare was raised, compare that with the situation in Calcutta where once a tram was burnt when the fare was increased by a mere one paisa. Of course in Bombay you get a real cosmopolitan look, helpful unlike rowdies of Delhi sorry to say. But now I’m in Chennai, it’s cool here, over a period you start liking it.... even the hot weather I started liking when my first 25 years I spent in Delhi and other northern cities.
