Every Bengali feels vibration in blood when they hear the speech. Seikh Mujibur Rahman the leader of time. He never bow down his head to any power or any interest. He never contact with India before the war started. His followers took shelter in India and took their help. After independence he bound India to take back their military instantly. He joined OIC going against Indian interest. He also visited Pakistan. He didn’t recognised Bengal partisan in 1947. Bengal was divided against the opinion of Bengalis. His ideology was Bengali nationalism not Bangladeshi nationalism. He used "Joy Bangla" slogan which represent whole Bengal. He choose "amar sonar Bangla" as national anthem which was written by our famous Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore as a protest against Bengal partisan of 1905. Which also represents whole Bengal. Unfortunately this great leader was killed by our military. Many Bengali believe that India is the reason behind Mujibur Rahman killing. In recent time two major killer of Seikh Mujibur Rahman was arrested from India. At present seikh hasina is very dissatisfied on India and this may be one of the major reason behind. Inshallah one day we must fulfil the dream of our great leader Seikh Mujibur Rahman . We must take rest of our Bengal. We have wolf worrier defence policy like China. We are making us strong, we are waiting for time & opportunity. West Bengal & 3 districts of Assam is the land of our ancestors. We must take it back Inshallah.

I am a Muslim Indian from the south Indian State Kerala. I was 1st year BA student when the civil war started in East Pakistan. The speach of Mujib became " historic" because in the Indo Pak war of 1971 pakistan was defeated on both fronts and it's eastern wing seceeded and became another country known as Bangladesh. If there was No Indo Pak war in 1971 there would never be any Bangladesh and the so called " Historic" speach would have been a mere political speach among the many political speaches of that time.

Dude ...Its a historical truth that India participated in the war which we began....it is also a truth if the conditions continued Pakistan would have not been able to economically sustain the occupation and we would have ultimately won...so get your idea straight...the only reason India entered the war as Pakistan was stupid enough to attack India...and they did that hoping that they will drag US in this by enlarging the conflict....But India has USSR support which prevented US intervention. We are a secular Muslim country...we speak our mother language ...we are free people...something that is every humans right....given by Allah not India.....However we recognize Indias support during the war and we hope to see a peaceful subcontinent...we think Both Pakistan and India are concepts that dont work...Pakistan broke in 1971...India broke even before in 14th August 1947 (even before India got to be a country on 15th)
