Dosa and idli is prepared at my home every week without fail....it's our staple food which is very tasty and easy to digest...there are many other South Indian food items like neer dosa, rava dosa, uttapa, Mysore masala dosa, idli, sambhar and coconut chutney, both North and South Indian food have different taste and you can not compare them. Here in India food items change every 50 kms....we have 29 States and 9 union territories and every place has its own unique food items which have to be tried and tasted....you will need to spend atleast 10 years to eat new item every single day in our diversified country like India....

Dosa, there are different varieties. Sambar is most common dish important, any thing goes with it, beauty is in great small marriage plain rice is served then sambhar is poured over ut, minimum 5 vegetables are used to make stalk and the same vegetables are used. Add with desi ghee , and pappad is added taste. Sambhar a purely south dish, nowit is international.
