When we study archaeology, history, epics and religious texts, we see a rising tendency to prove the so-called Hinduism as the oldest religion. This invites a natural question: what is Hinduism? The answer is there is no Hinduism as far as the old belief is concerned. There was a Vedic or even pre-Vedic culture, in which there was no concept of collective worship. If we read about the Vedic culture, we find an overwhelming emphasis on education, on keeping our minds open and invoking the strength of natural forces such as water, earth, sky, the beyond the sky realm (dyu loka) and antariksha. The god in vedic literature is omnipresent, all-powerful and sanatan (always in existence). The idol worship began in terms of the manifestation of the supreme god (brahma). Shankaracharya between the 7th-9th century gave birth to modern Hinduism and united the community from all directions (that's why we have the concept of Char-dham yatra). However, the so-called Hindu kings (they never called themselves Hindu, but more likely as Arya) were never united, and along with a rising trend at that time to regimentalize the Hindu culture as a caste and birth-based 'varna' system, led to quick victories of the invaders in many cases. Ultra-peace-loving Buddhist culture deprived the so-called Hindu kings of their martial character. The result was obvious. The present need is to make the so-called Hinduism more Vedic-oriented and progressive, a system where casteism has no place, none whatsoever. Regards

For your information caste system had a very special role to play it was mentioned in later vedas yes over the time caste system changed it's course completely and became more of oppresive system, but it is definitely mentioned in vedas. It's just like reservation system which was intended to do serve India in a good way but over the years all it is doing is making India hollow from inside. And what do you mean by "so called hindu dharma"? It's a name given by islamic invaders to hindi speaking people who worship idols. But in vedas the Sanatan Dharma is clearly mentioned which is the religion Hindus really are of. Please read more. Don't just go on dismissive mode.
