Vidya and Vandhana r sisters. U saw them both in this vedio, both r classically trained ,they r Tamil origin Indian Americans. Have their own band. Tours also, 2 years back gave a performance in different cities of India. They can sing in all Southern language and Hindi . I have been following her for a long time.👍 Dance u saw was Kathakali and Bharathnatyam.

Bhagwan Adi shankara was also from Kerala did shastrat all over India , revived the Vedanta and established peethas in all the four directions of Bharat. In North India nothing is left due last 1000 years of invasions and destructions. Take example of Delhi - ancient name indraprastha but the oldest temple we find today in delhi is just 90 years old while there are mosques which are 800 years old even the cathedral are 200 years old but temple. ASI was under pressure in previous secular govts to preserve and only highlight the Islamic Invaders architectures in delhi. All the Mahabharata sites, gupta sites, Prithavi Raj chauhan sites are Just matter of time before they completely disappear if ASI doesn't pay heed to them.

There were 2 dance forms: Kathakkali - which is a classical dance form from Kerala, which uses these colorful costumes and face paint. This dance form is completely done by men. The other dance form is called Bharatnatyam, which was being performed by women here. Bharatnatyam is done both by men and women. This song was sung in Malayalam language (which is the language of Kerala state) along with English. 👍

Iman and Moazzam, the dance you saw is from South Indian state of Kerala, where language is Malayalam. The dance form is called Kathkali and it depicts variety of stories from Hindu mythology. Iyer is surname of Tamilian Brahmins and I am also Iyer. Iyers come from both TamilNadu and Kerala but they speak Tamil predominantly. The district of Palghat (now called Pallakkad) is the place where Iyer people have their native in Kerala.
