Bihar-Purvanchal mein suhagin mahilaayein naak se poori maang tak sindoor lagaati hain kisi bhi Pooja yaa auspicious occasion mein jaise Shaadi, Chhath,Teej wagerah mein kyunki ye bahut shubh maanaa jaataa hai aur aisaa maante hain ki isse pati ki aayu lambi rehti hai. Saath hin iss region(Magadha , Mithilā ,Bhojapura, Anga ,Vajji,etc.) ki khaas baat ye hai ki yahaan generally original orange colour ke sindoor kaa prayoga karte hain. Hope this info helps. Chhath is not an Official Holiday for Indians ....It's region specific ... mostly for Bihar ..UP .. Jharkhand..... When I was working in Kolkata (as I am a Bihari) I did not use to take holiday on Diwali so that I could afford Holiday during Chhath Puja ... 😅😅
