upnishad is very scientific. Instead of understanding what is outside it tries to understand who I am? It come to conclusion that we are the eye of eye, ear of ear etc that mean we are pure consciousness ... consciousness which observe this creation is called atma..Thus atma is pure consciousness free from dividing between this or that . This I that is pure consciousness. Buddha and lord shiva attained this state and this is called nirvana in Buddhism and moksha in hinduism. When one realise this or achieve this state of mind one is free from this that and becomes free from worldly affairs and become god or understand that he is no different from god or become part of god.

If you become truely spiritual , and connect with consciousness ,then the way you see things ( and even not necessarily the physical eye you assume is the only instrument to see and look ) will be different and the way you understand it is different ,and perhaps you will also realize there is no point trying to explain it to people ,because it is so far away from physical attachments that lure you to life ( especially if you have good life ) . The attachments of life is like an instrument or a drug that makes you believe in time,age ,Experiance ,relations which convinces you of your ego and personality . But in reality the same journey and experience of life need to be utilized to realize something .In some cases it is realized earlier and Perhaps in the end, many times it happens to all make sence ,when that "parda" starts clearing from the eye .

Matter comes into existence because of chetna(conciousness). Quantum theory is still not understandable because the behaviour/nature of any sub atomic particle is governed by the conciousness which is the subject itself and science is dependent on the objectivity(should have property, name and can be sensed).
