Karn is one of the best character in Mahabharat. Krishna always says Arjun can't compete with Karn. He was Danvir. His only mistake was take he support Duryodhan who is a symbol of injustice. But Duryodhan gives him recognition as a king and friend. He never forget that and gives his life for friend. His and Vishma's situation was complicated. Both are most regarded and committed person. They win the heart of everybody.

People don't understand that Varna is not caste. Varna is dependent on Gun and karma . A shudra can be a Brahman and a Brahman can be shudra based on his action and qualities. It's written in Mahabharat in a conversation of Dharmaraj Yudhisthir. Some brahmans 100-200 years back took advantage of this unawareness by people and did and said a lot of wrong things . Due to which Government now gives all the facilities to such people. But the truth is that there is no caste system like it is mentioned currently where you can't change your caste. Varna is not caste. Varna keeps changing.
