I had visited Ahmadabad during my vacation about 3 years back and had seen the river front and the Gandhi Ashram located there at that time………..it was a really lovely place and very peaceful. I believe the US President Donald Trump had also visited this place last year ………..hats off to Modi ji for this remarkable project while he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat during that time !!

Hazeka and Tariq! I would suggest that you guys watch this video again to note the following in particular because you have missed all essential points: - 1. The time period of development was shown as 2002 to 2012: The period during which Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat (this riverfront is on Sabarmati river in Gujarat). 2. Water was diverted from Narmada dam via Narmada canal to pour water into a drying river bed. 3. Dhobi ghats of olden days were kept intact under pakka structures but now the outlet of used water goes through 'filters' before it enters back into the river. So, dhobis could continue washing clothes as before.
